Facility Generalist (Contract) – $32-$38/hr | Quincy, MA

We are hiring a reliable and hands-on Facility Generalist for a 5-month contract in Quincy, MA. This role supports daily facility operations, maintenance, and workplace services to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs (carpentry, painting, minor electrical, plumbing)
  • Support HVAC, lighting, and building systems to ensure proper operation
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and address issues proactively
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with office moves, furniture setup, and space reconfiguration
  • Maintain facility supply inventory and order materials as needed
  • Respond to employee service requests in a timely manner
  • Support health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or building operations
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
  • Familiarity with facility management systems (Service Zone or similar preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Assignment Details

  • Duration: 5-month contract
  • Schedule: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (after onboarding)
  • On-call rotation every 3 weeks (stipend provided)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
